What is a budget allocator?
A budget allocator takes your available cash and works out the optimal way to split it across your suppliers. SmartBuys ranks every product by ROI, churn time, and MOQ — then tells you exactly how many units to order from each supplier to make the most profit from your budget.
How does SmartBuys forecast cashflow?
SmartBuys pulls your Amazon payouts, bank transactions, and upcoming expenses to build a 6-week cashflow forecast. It shows what cash is landing week by week and — most importantly — how much is safe to deploy on stock right now without running short on bills or VAT.
How does the replenish system work?
SmartBuys calculates days-of-stock for every SKU based on your real daily sales rate. When a product is close to running out — factoring in your supplier lead time — it fires a reorder alert with the exact quantity and order-by date. No more stockouts, no more guessing.
How do I sync my products?
Two ways. Connect your Amazon seller account and SmartBuys pulls your entire FBA inventory automatically. Or paste your Google Sheet URL and SmartBuys maps the columns and syncs every 3 hours. No reformatting, no exports, no manual uploads.
How do I connect my Amazon account?
From Settings, click 'Connect Amazon' and follow the SP-API authorisation — it takes about 2 minutes. SmartBuys only requests read access to your orders, inventory, fees, and payouts. We never touch your listings.
How do I get access?

What's the biggest difference between having SmartBuys and not having it?

How does SmartBuys get invoices?
SmartBuys connects to your Gmail and scans for supplier invoices automatically. It reads the invoice, extracts line items and costs, and maps them to your SKUs — updating COGS and bookkeeping in one go. No manual data entry, no missed invoices.
Does SmartBuys work with every bank?
Import bank statements via CSV or PDF from major UK business banks — Lloyds, Barclays, HSBC, Monzo, Starling, Tide, and Wise. Stripe and PayPal also connect directly. SmartBuys auto-categorises your imported transactions.

Data security

Your supplier data belongs to you

Your most sensitive information — supplier names, buy links, and product data — is encrypted before it ever reaches our database. We've built this so it's protected even if our server was compromised.

Encrypted at rest

Supplier names and buy URLs are encrypted with AES-256 before being written to the database. Anyone with raw database access sees scrambled ciphertext — not your suppliers.

Keys held in AWS KMS

The encryption key doesn't live on our server. It's stored inside the same AWS Key Management Service that Stripe uses to protect card numbers — hardware-backed, never on disk.

Every access logged

AWS CloudTrail logs every time encrypted data is accessed. There's an auditable trail — we can't quietly browse your data in the background.

No plain-text supplier names in our database. Anyone with database access sees ciphertext only — not your actual suppliers.

The encryption key never sits on our server. Stored in AWS KMS — the same infrastructure Stripe trusts for card numbers.

Your data is gone when you leave. When you cancel, we delete your encryption key. Your data remains in the database but is permanently unreadable — by anyone, including us.

We don't sell or share your data. SmartBuys has no advertising model. Your suppliers and product data are never shared with third parties.
